Curious About – example content

Curious About: The Human Body is the fourth digital festival from Glasgow Science Centre. Our website will be available to browse from 22 February 2022, with live sessions taking place 9-11 March 2022. 

This festival focuses on content for schools (P4 upwards) and families, and we’d love to share your work. If you’d like to propose content for inclusion, please complete our form by 22 November 2021: https://forms.office.com/r/WhCc1evGgc   

We may not be able to take all submissions, but they will be carefully considered. If accepted, completed content would be needed by 24 January 2022.

The Tale of Ghille Dhu

Did you know that Scotland has a rainforest?

In this story, written for nursery and primary school children, Ghillie Dhu will guide you through the rainforest and introduce you to the other miniature residents – lichens, mosses, fungi and ferns. These plants also form Ghillie Dhu’s wardrobe. In the accompanying learning pack you will be tasked with finding items of his wardrobe and learning a song all the forest.

What would your ideal Planet Earth look like? How would transport work? Where does electricity come from? How do humans and animals live in harmony?

There are so many things to think about, and there are no right or wrong answers. This is your opportunity to conceptualise your ideal future Earth – the only limit is your own imagination.
