Join Liam and find out about the space satellites being built right here in Scotland! Hear about how we design, build and test satellites before launch, and what they do in orbit. Ask Liam about his career in satellite engineering, and how you can begin to take those steps.

About Liam Harquin
I’ve always been passionate about space and started my career journey in school; seeking my work experience week at a growing Scottish space company, and attending Scottish Space School.
I went on to graduate with a master’s degree in electrical and mechanical engineering and immediately launched into searching for fulfilling space careers that benefitted us here on Earth.
I landed an exciting opportunity at Spire as an AIT technician, assembling and testing real satellites and getting to be the last human to touch them. As I developed as an engineer, I transitioned to the mechanical engineering team where I get to design and test ambitious mechanisms and satellites to track and tackle some of the important challenges humanity faces.
