About Shona Pennock 

Shona Pennock is an Energy Systems Engineer at CorPower Ocean, a wave energy technology developer headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. She has a background in Physics and a PhD in Wind Energy Systems from the University of Strathclyde. Her current role at CorPower involves modelling wave resource around the world, finding the best sites and comparing wave, wind and solar resource complementarity. She has research experience focusing on the economic and environmental impacts associated with innovations within emerging offshore renewable technologies. She is particularly interested in producing and communicating quantifiable evidence exploring the progress of the wave energy sector in reducing overall system costs and environmental impacts, especially in the context of future net-zero power systems.
